Praises at Kahquah (June 29, 2009)

My Bible reading for today was Matthew 7..."Don't be impressed with charisma, look for character.  Who preachers ...ARE...is the main thing, not what they say."  Matt 7:21

I love the words of Jesus....he is so down to earth and practical and inclusive.... even 2 penny's was worth more to Jesus than large bags of money.  And here at our Camp, there has been alot of hard work getting everything ready and all the work that goes into keeping it running through the summer...and that is part of what the Bible says, that is part of the Father's will....'serious obedience'....just doing it.

Praise...Praise...Praise

The last week or so at Camp has been blessed by the Lord in so many ways.

Thanks to the Wingers and the Martins....Camp looks great!

The 20's and 30's Retreat last week-end was encircled by the Lord's favor and blessings.  With fantastic weather and many new people from the Tri-City and Toronto Meeting House...it was full of energy and deep reflection.  Thank-you to Liz Bonisteel, Tobi Farrell, Chris Finkbiner and Ryan Tyrrell for their Leadership.

Thanks to Ivan Winger, Michelle and Mike Piett for building and designing a new Nurse's Nook Cabinet.  As the times have changed so have our needs and this new cabinet is just perfect...our summer nurse's will be thrilled!  Thanks also to Michelle who is here getting everything ready for the summer camp nurses....her knowledge and help is indispensable!

We praise the Lord for Mary Chaisson, who has come from Port Colborne to teach Emergency first-aid to anyone who needs it.   Our goal is that anyone who is in leadership will be able to begin first-aid if needed.

Our yearly report to Canada Revenue for our Charatable Status has been sent out!

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."

Live it out....

Deborah
