As we walk around the Camp property...there is such an air of expectancy ! ! The staff have been arriving since yesterday and Staff Training has begun. This is such a fun week ! In the midst of all the training, preparations for the coming weeks....it is also a time to remember what the Lord requires of us.
Praise
We are blessed beyond measure with such an awesome staff this year. As I look out into the hall....to see that as the years have gone on...we now have a week of Staff Training. Years ago we would just show up and it was a bit confusing at times but this week, to be able to get to know them and go over so many details is such a blessing.
Liz Bonisteel is leading this week....she just loves each one of the staff and they know it...and that is what makes it so special. Pray that the Lord would bless her with inspiration and His wisdom as she leads. And what a bonus this year...she has an Auto harp and she is singing most of her announcements! ! !! ! !
We are having many special guests this week dropping in....Mary Chaisson (First Aid Instructor), Tobi Farrell , Dave Droppert, Jeff & Becky Aitkin and Linda Zane.
Thank-You Lord for our 20's and 30's Week-end, and to Jessica Robson and Cheryl Edmonds for planning all the details. Robb and Sara Klilliamdon-Bynoe from Move-In shared their story how the Lord led them to sell their home in the suburbs and move into the inner city...into an apartment. It is a way of doing missions right in our own country, right in our own cities. An amazing adventure.
You know...as I think about it....that is exactly what the Wingers and Martins have done. They have left their family and friends down in Southern Ontario and moved to Camp.
With missions...it can be a real challenge...but in light of eternity it will be so worth it.
Prayers
There are so many little things that we need to do to get ready for the summer. Pray that we are able to get it all done and for the staff's safety as they work on the equipment....we do have a great summer staff on Maintenance.... Dave Legge, Reamon Cober, Thomas Booker and Dillon Sparling.
On Wednesday and Thursday we are having Certification Instructors coming to teach Canoe and Wall Climbing to our staff. We pray for great instructors and a beautiful day to be outside.
We are praying for the many Cabin Leaders, Directors and Nurses who will be new this summer. We thank the Lord for their willingness to step into this exciting way to serve in Missions! ! !
We thank Sarah Tutti for volunteering to drive Bus for the 4 weeks of Children's Camp.You may not know it, but Busing the Children up to Camp and preparing for it takes a lot of time going over all the details....and it has to be right. Please pray for all these details and that the parents keep us informed of all their plans.
